History

The first clubhouse was actually the old boat club on Riverside Drive, founded in 1913 (making 2013 our 100th anniversary). Eventually bowlers built their own quarters at a cost of $300, entirely funded by the members themselves.  In 1958 there was concern over the constrcution of Autoroute-132 (#3 back then), and Clarence Smiley was to look into this problem. The season of 1963 was the last for the club on Riverside Drive, and plans were made for the clubhouse to be relocated, to the present site beside the curling club on Oak Avenue. The official opening was June 7th, 1964.
